How to make sure you set the right sharing and permissions for viewing video, audio, image, and PDF files.

Sharing Media

To change the Sharing Status of a file, find it in your Private or Shared media libraries.

Go to Private or Shared on the left menu.

Make sure you have the right site or “All Sites” selected at the top of the list under “Show Media From:”.  And the right group, playlist, or assignment, or “All files in this site” on the right side above the files list.

Each media file appears as a row.

The current sharing status is in the rounded box in the middle. Click there to choose a different sharing status. When you click on that sharing box you can start typing to find a user, playlist, group, or assignment that you wish to share to.

Changing the Share Status of Multiple Files

Simply check the boxes at left on each file you wish to change. Once you have checked more than one file, the Delete and Share icons appear on the very right side of the screen. Click the sharing icon    to change the sharing of all the files you have selected.
